Product Development
Cosmetic Product Development & Formulation
From idea to formula — product concept development, formulation briefs, ingredient research, prototype formulation, and refinement through structured sampling and evaluation.
From Idea to Formula
Development begins with understanding.
Every product we develop starts with a clear understanding of what it is for — the consumer it serves, the job it does, the experience it should deliver, and the price and channel it must work within.
That understanding is captured in a formulation brief, which guides ingredient research, formula development, and the prototypes that follow. Products are developed for the conditions they will actually be used in — including the Philippine climate — and refined through structured sampling and evaluation until they are ready for production.
Development concludes with production specifications that carry the product into manufacturing.
What development begins with.
Target consumer
Who the product is for and what they need from it.
Product purpose
The job the product is meant to do.
Desired experience
Texture, feel, scent, and the sensory impression it should leave.
Positioning
How the product will sit in its market and against its alternatives.
Target cost
The cost or price range the product needs to work within.
Packaging
The format, material, and compatibility requirements of primary packaging.
Intended sales channel
Where the product will be sold, from e-commerce to retail.
What the development process involves.
- Product concept development
- Formulation briefs
- Ingredient research
- Formula development
- Prototype formulation
- Texture development

Our Process
A clearer path from idea to shelf.
Not every project follows exactly the same process. Some begin with an existing formula or production-ready specification.

Understand the product, consumer, market, target cost, and timeline.
Develop
Formulation, ingredient direction, and initial prototypes.
Refine
Sample evaluation, adjustments, and product approval.
Prepare
Packaging, specifications, documentation, and production planning.
Produce
Batch manufacturing, filling, labeling, and packing.
Deliver
Finished-goods release and delivery coordination.
FAQ
Product development questions.
Can you develop a formula from scratch?
Yes. Custom development begins with a formulation brief built around your consumer, positioning, and target cost, then moves through ingredient research, prototype formulation, and refinement.
Can you work from a formula we already have?
Yes. Existing formulas are evaluated for compatibility with our production capability, typically through our OEM or manufacturing-only routes.
How long does product development take?
It depends on the product's complexity, category, and packaging. We don't publish standard timelines — development schedules are discussed during project review.
What information do you need to start?
Category, concept, target consumer, positioning, target cost, packaging direction, estimated quantity, and preferred timeline. All of it can be provided through Start a Project.
